Isaac Montano
Ba'ax ka wa'alik! I've been doing food service work for a little over ten years now. First generation Immigrant, my family hails from southern Mexico. Born and raised in Minnesota, I like to use traditional foods from here and incorporate and blend them with southern influences. Have a background in biology and education but ended up doing cooking because I have a passion for it. Im committed to using my skill and love of food for decolonial action in and out of the kitchen. Increasing native foodways and food access to the Native community here in Minneapolis is something that I strive for. Outside of my work here I do feeds and street outreach in the cities. I believe that we can build a better world, one meal at a time.
